Hi friends,

This winter is pretty windy,most of the days we are getting east winds which means it,s windy at the north shore of Gran Canaria.

There has been good swell coming and I had some incredible starboard tack sailing with nice size waves,really similar conditions like Maui.

yesterday I went to the north and score the first session of the winter at Boquines with pretty nice size waves and wind for 5.0.

WORLD CUP SYLT.

Hi friends,

NO wind in Sylt this year,we just had the best weather of the year with clear skies and sun shinning.

We only could do some sup races where the Canarian Team Bruch,Iballa and I got 3th in the first day and 2th position in the second day.

Plus Ricardo,Braw,Kauli and I try to do some tow-in jumping but the waves were not good enough to do big things.

So PWA tour is over,I got a 6th place overall this year wich is not bad but looking forward for 2012 to do better.

Congrats to Phillip for winning the tour and for sure to Ricardo,Kauli,Victor and Dani.

Now time to relax and free sailing!

yesterday we went to Siam Park to train a bit for the Siam Park event but unfortunally the jet ski didn,t arrived in time so we had to surf a bit!

we surfed for an hour and I managed to get some waves in with the sup aswell wich was pretty fun.

Keep updated today will have a jumping session already.

PWA EVENTS OVER FINALLY!!

PWA Canaries events has been great!!all of then with good conditions so far!!

Pozo was really strong this year,Incredible show at the beach were I got the 3th place after beating swift,kauli,brawnzinho and ricardo one after the other,so pretty happy to finally get a podium at home together with Phillip and Victor.

Tenerife was also good event,conditions were bit hard as we got a lot of seaweed making it impossible to have speed to jump or do almost anything but good enough to do a 7th place and keep a good overall result,right now I,m on 4th place overall and looking forward to do a good result in Denmark and Sylt and if everything goes well finish in top 3.

Now it,s time to relax a bit from all the events.

Yesterday we had tipical Pozo winds,I think we had gusts over 40 knots.

Long time that the wind didn,t show up so strong.

Only the best one and the one with big ball could managed to do some really high jump,so it was a show for the people at the beach.

Hi friends,

FWC has finished with some great sessions where all the riders show good level of the best waveriding!
Different spots were breaking this 2011 from mellow Entubadera and Caleta to heavy breaks in big Puertito.
So was time to pass page and flight to Morroco where it,s been really good conditions since day 1.
Perfect conditions there for all the water sports form windsurfing to sup and surfing.
So all they in the water.

Hi friends,

sorry for not update the blog for a long time but in cape verde the internet is not so good,so I could even upload any news.

Probably you already know that we didn,t have enough wind to finish the event and get another result.

finally Victor had the winnig of the tittle that he deserved for a long time,congrats Victor!!

As for me,I finish in 10th position this year without the possibilty of climb a bit to the top in cape verde as I plan but I guess 10th it,s still in the top 10 best guys in the world and 3 position in the national.

Hopefully next year we get better luck and better results,now it,s time to relax a bit and have a xmas holidays with family!

today we had to be at the beach at 7 in the morning for the skippers meeting.it was a small chance of running some heat according to the forecast but wasnt like that when we arrived there.
dead on shore winds,maybe 10 knots maximun and flat.so stand by for the moment.
the forecast doesn,t look so good for the next for wave.Hopefully for the slalom and freestyle.

Hi friends,

we started the single elimination with good sizes wave but with light winds where it was really tricky to do good heats.

I passed my first heat against Ben Proffit and then I had Kauli where I got a double and a backloop with one increadible wave ride with 2 takas in the critical part of the wave but kauli had good luck and pass the heat having the 9th position in the single.

congratulations to Kauli,Ricardo and Dany for the great result!!

I just got my new boards,they are 2011 quad boards with the option of make them twin fins by removing the front fins.

I have to say that they first impression of the board is really good,fast planning,excellent speed,it really graps to the bottons and turns,I have to wait for a good day of wave to see what it,s capable to do!!

we are already in august and pozo still blowing.This summer has been really good,winds since beginning of june till now without stop.
People who has choose pozo this summer for sailing has choose well.

Looks like we going to have a great august with winds and waves,yesterday we sailed mosca point with nice size waves.

after the pwa pozo 2010 I had to continuing compiting in the spanish cup in pozo and after in tenerife.

so this are the results from pozo spanish cup:
1-victor fernandez
2-jonas ceballos
3-dario ojeda

then was tenerife where I got a bad result but I still in 3 position in the overall ranking.

there will be one more contest of the spanish cup where I will do my best to do a better result.

now is time to have a break and recovery from all this days of contest.

2010 pwa pozo it,s finished!!I did a good work and finish in the podium the first day with a 3 place together phillip and victor.
conditions were not the best but we still lucky to have what we had.
doble elimination the conditions were bit sketchy so not lucky with that i went from 3 to 4 place against ricardo!!we both sailed incredible but jduges gave to ricardo this time,not so happy about that decision but compettion it,s like that.

now it,s time to get ready to denmark and keep doing good!!

For that I go to my good friend Juanma(osteopathy)to get my body and my bones back to his place aswell he relax my muscle.

My body will apreciate it and so I can be 100% in the water again.

The guys are already trainig here for the contest like victor,kauli,brown,ricardo,swift,ross .....

yesterdays we sailed with 4.0 powered but really gusty and extrange conditions but good enough to pull some good jumps.

Hi fellows,

FWC ends so now I got back home,the wind still don,t showing up but meanwhile I don,t waste time,I been suping this morning where was nice and glassy with a fun sizes and not much people in the water just 2 friends wolfy y eduardo and me suping.

I was suping with my new boards the hokua 9,3 and I can say it,s incredible!!also thanks to belways paddles fuerteventura for the paddles that are so flexible and let do this turns easily.

finally we good conditions at la caleta,really good spot,nice size and enough wind.

I got a lot of fun sailing there,in my heat were stephan,iballa,jb and me,I got second on the heat really close to stephan as he knows the wave really well.

Hi friends,

yesterday we got a little bit of wind and some swell but not enough to start the comp,so instead we did a free sailing session.

today it,s bigger waves but the winds drop so we can go windsurf today,looks like tomorrow there,s only good waves for surfing.

Hi all,I just got to fuerte yesterday.I took the boat early in the morning and what best wellcome than a good session of surfing at the south spot of jandia where I got really good waves and a nice barrel.

After drinvin one an half hour to the north to meet the others competitor and friends to have the open dinner of the event,we had a droll to see the diferent teams.

Looks like the forecast looks really promising for next days.

BIG SWELL

hi friends,

we had a big swell last days,all the spots were working good,in the morning I had a good session at the right in el roque,from there I could see the mountains that were coming,is and outside wave break,it was just perfect for tow in.

so we went for it and it was so good and perfect!!!

my friend andres and I were taking bombs one after the other untill we could no more.

this week has been increible,non stop of everyday wind and wave,in all the spots across the east side.Pozo been good,salinas, mosca,3 nido......

now it,s starting to slow down a bit so we can have a break but it look like it,s coming a good swell for surfing.

the swell arrived as expected,good waves has been coming all this last days,the has been not so good but good enough to have a great time in the water and get some good jumping.

Hi friends,

a big swell is coming,we are expecting big waves and strong winds,looks like we have a good beginnig of winter,windguru shows 3.2 waves with 16 period and 22 knots,pretty good !!!

HI FRIENDS,

winter is here,so the conditions start to change,less wind and more swell.

we had good days of surfing and some light wind in pozo,we sailed pozo and mosca.

hope this winter wil be as good as last year with plenty of east swell so we can surf pozo and windsurf without have to move much around the island looking for the waves.

Just back from cold weather of sylt,my island give a great welcome back with nice warm weather like always an a good day of surfing and sup.

nothing better than been in the water without wetsuit,just jump in the water with a lycra and have fun with some of the friends.

hi mates,

finally sylt is done,the hardest event of the year has finished with hard core condition,bothside wind directions an massive shorebreaks and really cold.

we all celebrate the big victory for my friend alex that won this event with a great performance in both tack,excellent show,amazing sailor that after a couple of year of been in the shadow start to shine again,CONGRATULATIONS BRO!!.

this year it,s been a ok year for most of the spanish guys but we are stepping in the top slowly but without stop.finishing the overall results like this:

victor 6 place.

musso 9 place.

dani 11 place.

jonas 12 place.

GOOD SUMMER

Hello my friends,

this year it been a good summer,we had good enough conditions almost the whole summer plus some days of sup and surf in the south of the island,I been also having a small holidays only relaxing and enjoing life,this two last week we had some good conditions for 4.0 and good size waves,I been having a lot of fun in the water,a lots of good surf on the right side of pozo.

hope this continues like this.

SUP IN SUMMER

pozo this year it,s been very weird,a proof of that is when you can have a perfect surf in the middle of july when normally we have storm winds.

anyways it was really nice to have a day of relax without those winds and be able to just take the board and jump in water and enjoy this summer after the work is done.

NATIONAL CONTEST IN POZO

right after finishing pozo pwa contest and without having a rest of 7 days of contest in windy pozo we had the national contest where we had incredible waves and conditions.It was a great contest with top level and top competitor as victor,jonas,musso,perez,ele and many more pozo locals...

having finalist victor,jonas,perez and me in the single elimination we got this result victor,jonas and me in third place.

we finished the double in the first days with the same result,victor takin the victory,second place my brother jonas and me in third place and winning the overall,so national champion 2009!!!

5TH PLACE PWA POZO 2009

finally we are done with the event,this year it,s been pretty hard condition,a bit light and tricky the first days and super strong pozo like it used to be,nearly 50 knots and good waves.

the level this year is incredible,we are seing a new wavesailing in pozo with a lot more of manouvers that we used to see before like in every heat 360backsides and front side,takas,goiters...all the jumps,a lot of doubles ....incredible level this year with the beast"phillip"amazing show it,s going to another level now.

I,m defenetly really happy with my result and my performance,so let,s see how level is going to be in the pozo 2010,I think it,s something that you don,t want to miss seeing.

all my congrats to phillip,victor,ricardo,jonas and me!!!hahahaha

tomorrow I,ll have to keep on compiting in pozo for the spanish cup.

POZO PWA

finally we finished the single elimination,we had good conditions but a bit tricky because the wind was really gusty.

I,m really happy with the result by finishing 4th I did my best in what the conditions were so I guess now is tie for me to relax until the double start and see who is coming next.

my heat against musso was really difficult,we both sailed incredible but at the end everything went well for me.then against victor was missing one jump so If I got one more jump I would have win victor going straight to the final,in that heat I had a really tweaked 360 and an air taka.

congratulation to phillip,young big man!!!is all my respect.also to victor and jonas,good job.

it,s so nice to see a podium like this,with all young and canarian and spanish.

let,s see what,s in the double elimination.

PWA POZO SATURDAY

hola,

the conditions were not so good in the morning with the low tide but as soon as the water was coming up the waves were shaping up and getting better,have to say that were difficult conditions as for looking for jumps or waverides.

i,m stoked that I took out excellent riders swift with the higher score waveriding with a 9 doing a tweaked backside aerial with big frontside turn a taka and aerial at the end.

next heat was up with kevin pritchard where I also made with good jumps and fluid waverides and takas,so really happy to beat 2 big names and still there!!

now in the next heat against musso that been ripping all this days,it,s gonna be good to watch.

will see how the conditions are todays.

POZO 09 STARTED

hi everyone,

finally is here,all the year we been waiting for this event,to show a great performance and try to do my best result.we started to do the inscriptions while the tide was coming up and getting good waves ready for the wave contest.

as soon as we finished with the inscription,they give the notice that we was going to started the first elimination of wave.so jumped in the water in the 5th heat of the day against the italian rider that been livinig in pozo for a while now.have to said that I did a really good job nailing all the moves.

one of the best heats of the days,for my surf when I did a big 360 on the wave and nices takas for the jumps table forwards,pushtable,one handed backloops,stoked for my performance!!!

tomorrow I will have robbie switf in my next heat,let,s see what happens.

thank to continent seven for mantion me in their page for my performance as the pwa notice writer didn,t say anything of my great performance,for most of the spectators on of the best of the day.

yesterday we had the single elimition of the spanish cup here in pozo,the conditions were not quite good but the forecast for the next days didnt look good so we had to start.

we finished the single,was really hard to sail and to find ramps to jump and I finished 4 and waiting for tomorrow to do the double for a better result.

my congratulations to jonas and ele!!

EASTER HOLIDAYS

hi everybody,

after winning the spanish cup in tenerife I decided that I needed a short holidays and leave the windsurf scene for couple of days for easter holidays and go to the south for some chilling weather just enjoy the beach with my girlfriend and friends.

we were paddling surf,just paddle in,fishing and enjoy life.

hi everybody,this weekend we had the spanish cup in tenerife in el medano,really nice conditions the 2 first days wich we had time to finish the simple and start the double.

it was really hard for me and I had to do a great job to win this contest because I was out in the second round of the single and I had to start from the beginning in the double all the way thru the final passing to all the winner from the simple and defeating marcos twice to get first place.

just say that it was woth it the hard work and that i,m stoke to winning the spanish cup in tenerife.
